TAMARA FISCH

Brooklyn-based Tamara Fisch has over 10 years experience as an editorial producer, writer, and editor at BrainPOP, a leading education company, creating state and national standards-aligned content for elementary and middle school students. She specializes in making complex concepts accessible, especially for English language learners.

Fisch made her film-directing debut with RESOLUTIONS in 2017. She was previously the co-producer of WE’VE FORGOTTEN MORE THAN WE EVER KNEW, a feature written and directed by Thomas Woodrow, in 2015. 

Before transitioning to film, she spent 15 years directing for the theater, with a focus on developing and directing new American plays. She was a 2008-2009 Director-in-Residence at Ensemble Studio Theatre and the 2009 Bill Foeller Directing Fellow at Williamstown Theatre Festival. She is a Drama League Directing Fellow, a Partial Comfort Productions Company Member and a member of Ensemble Studio Theatre.

She holds a BA from Yale University, and an MFA from the University of Washington School of Drama.

Thomas woodrow

Thomas's experience spans nearly fifteen years in film and television as well as commercial work.

In the commercial world, he has worked on branded and creative content with agencies such as Wieden-Kennedy and JWT, for such clients as Google, Huggies, Pfizer, Microsoft, Stouffers, JetBlue and Strident, among many others. 

His narrative projects, both short and feature length, have played countless festivals and venues across the globe, including Sundance, SXSW, Berlin and Venice and have been distributed commercially just as widely.

He recently completed his first narrative feature film as a writer/director, WE'VE FORGOTTEN MORE THAN WE EVER KNEW, starring Louisa Krause, Aaron Stanford and Doug Jones, EP'd by Paul Mezey (BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD), which was distributed in the fall of 2017 by The Orchard. He is in development on his next feature project, several TV projects and a podcast inspired by THE TWILIGHT ZONE.

Thomas has received support from the Sundance Institute, IFP, and the Rotterdam Film Lab, among other grants, fellowships and accolades. He holds an MFA with honors from New York University and a BA with honors from Yale.
